TechCrunch reports Apple is expected to announce HomeView, a Siri-powered smart home hub with a display and A18 chip, alongside updates to Apple TV and HomePod mini.

Apple is expected to announce a new smart home hub called HomeView on Tuesday, according to TechCrunch’s summary of reporting by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. The report says the product follows multiple earlier reports that Apple was working on a new smart home device. The key shift is that the device now appears to have both a name and a launch timeline.
HomeView is described as a Siri-powered device with a display and an A18 chip. Its main purpose would be to let customers control other smart home devices. The product will reportedly come in two models: one designed for countertops and another designed to be mounted on walls.
TechCrunch frames HomeView as Apple’s most serious smart home bet to date. The context is important: the company’s HomeKit software framework and HomePod smart speaker are described as having failed to gain much traction. A dedicated hub could give Apple a clearer centerpiece for smart home control if the reported product arrives as described.
The report says Apple is also expected to unveil updated versions of the Apple TV set-top box and the HomePod mini on Tuesday. TechCrunch also notes earlier reporting that Apple plans to announce a partnership with LG to create a smart lock, a thermostat, and a doorbell. Together, those moves suggest Apple may be preparing a broader smart home refresh rather than a single-device update.
