Meta has quietly launched Style Sketch, an AI fashion app that builds a virtual closet from Instagram photos or manually added items, then suggests outfits and trip looks.

Meta has quietly launched Style Sketch, an AI fashion app designed to help users create outfit ideas from clothes they already own. The app can connect to Instagram to build a virtual closet from photos users have posted. Users can also add clothing manually by taking a photo, recording a short video, or uploading images from their camera roll.
Style Sketch suggests outfit combinations based on a user’s wardrobe and style. The app description says users can try outfits on a “realistic model matched to your body shape and skin tone.” Users can also pick a specific item from their wardrobe and ask the app for fresh outfit ideas built around it.
The app is available in Indonesia, Singapore, and Thailand on iOS and Android, according to TechCrunch. Meta did not respond to TechCrunch’s request for comment. It is not yet known whether Meta plans to launch Style Sketch more widely.
TechCrunch notes that several apps already use AI to digitize wardrobes and visualize outfits, including startups such as Alta and tools in Google Photos. That means Meta may need to compete less on novelty and more on distribution and convenience. Instagram could give Style Sketch an advantage because many users already have a visual record of their clothing and personal style there.
Style Sketch arrives amid a wave of new AI apps from Meta, including Waddle World, Pocket, and Vibes. The app can also help plan trip outfits by using a destination, trip length, planned activities, weather forecast, and itinerary to build a day-by-day plan. The broader takeaway: Meta appears to be testing focused AI apps that turn existing user content into practical, personalized tools.
