Digify Pricing 2026: Plans, Costs and Hidden Fees
On this page

Digify pricing starts at $180/month (Pro) or $480/month (Team) on monthly billing, dropping to $130 and $330/month on annual, with no free plan. Both tiers bill extra for every additional user, data room and batch of guests. If you want a free plan and flat pricing, Plox is a far cheaper Digify alternative.

Digify is a document-security and DRM platform with watermarking, screen-shield and virtual data rooms. The security is genuinely strong. The cost structure is built around a high base price plus per-user, per-room and per-guest add-ons, so the bill climbs fast as a deal team grows. This guide walks through every Digify plan, the limits, the costs that hide in the add-ons, and whether it is worth it, with a cheaper alternative at the end.

If you want the wider feature comparison rather than just cost, see what Digify is and how it works and the best Digify alternatives.

How much does Digify cost?

Digify publishes two self-serve plans, Pro and Team, plus a quote-based Enterprise tier. Pricing is per workspace, billed monthly or annually, with a discount for paying annually. Every plan bundles a fixed number of users, data rooms and guests, then charges add-on fees once you go past them.

Team$480/mo$330/mo310200500 GB

Prices reflect Digify's published self-serve plans [VERIFY PRICE]. Enterprise is sales-quoted and Digify does not list a number. The add-on rates below apply on top of every plan.

Add-onPrice [VERIFY PRICE]
Extra user$25/mo per user
Extra data room$50/mo per room
Extra guests$25 per 25 guests

What does each Digify plan include?

Digify Pro ($180/month, or $130/month annual)

Pro is the entry point and is built for a single user.

  • 1 user (each extra user $25/month) [VERIFY PRICE]
  • 3 data rooms (each extra room $50/month) [VERIFY PRICE]
  • 50 data room guests (extra guests $25 per 25) [VERIFY PRICE]
  • 100 GB encrypted storage, 50 GB media bandwidth, 5 GB file-size limit
  • Document security: AES-256 encryption, access control, revoke access, versioning, expiry, detailed analytics
  • Branding: logo and brand colors
  • API access: 100 API calls, Zapier integration
  • Integrations: Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, Box
  • 24/7 email and chat support

The catch is scale. Pro covers one person and three rooms. Add two more users and two more rooms and you are already at roughly $280/month before you have touched a guest add-on [VERIFY PRICE].

Digify Team ($480/month, or $330/month annual)

Team adds the advanced security and collaboration features most people associate with Digify.

  • 3 users (each extra user $25/month) [VERIFY PRICE]
  • 10 data rooms (each extra room $50/month) [VERIFY PRICE]
  • 200 guests (extra guests $25 per 25) [VERIFY PRICE]
  • 500 GB encrypted storage
  • Everything in Pro, plus: dynamic watermarking, screen shield (anti-screenshot), file-level granular permissions, Office editing (DOCX, PPTX, XLSX), data room Q&A, unlimited API access, phone support and guest support

The headline feature, dynamic watermarking, only arrives on Team. Same for screen-shield and granular permissions. If document protection is why you are looking at Digify, the real entry price is $480/month, not $180/month.

Digify Enterprise (custom quote)

Enterprise adds SSO, custom contracts, higher limits and dedicated support. Digify does not publish a price, so treat it as a sales conversation with an annual commitment attached.

What are the hidden costs of Digify?

The sticker price is only part of the bill. Digify's model is designed to grow with add-ons, and a few costs are easy to miss.

  • Watermarking is a Team feature. Dynamic watermarking, the protection most people actually want, is not on Pro. To get it you pay $480/month (or $330/month annual), not the $180 headline.
  • Per-room fees on every plan. Pro includes 3 rooms and Team includes 10. Every room beyond that is $50/month [VERIFY PRICE], so a team running several deals at once pays a recurring premium per room.
  • Per-user fees. Pro is single-user. Each teammate you add costs $25/month [VERIFY PRICE], on every plan, indefinitely.
  • Per-guest fees. Once you pass the included guest count, external viewers cost $25 per 25 guests [VERIFY PRICE]. A widely circulated data room can quietly add to the bill.
  • Annual commitment for the best price. The $130 and $330 rates require paying for a year up front. Month-to-month is $180 and $480.
  • No free plan to test on real documents. You cannot trial Digify on a live deal without a paid subscription, so evaluation itself has a cost.

A worked example: a four-person deal team running six active data rooms on Team would pay $480 base, plus $25 for the fourth user, plus $50 each for three extra rooms ($150). That comes to $655/month, before any guest overage, and $7,860 a year [VERIFY PRICE].

Is Digify worth it?

Digify is worth it if document protection is your single biggest requirement and budget is secondary. Its watermarking, screen-shield, granular permissions and expiry controls are strong, and the security posture (AES-256, ISO 27001) holds up for sharing highly sensitive files.

It is a harder sell if you are a founder or small team that wants to share decks, run diligence and track engagement without a four-figure monthly bill. The base price is high, the protection you actually want sits on the $480 tier, and growth means stacking per-user, per-room and per-guest fees. There is also no free plan, and the analytics stop at "who viewed" rather than a per-page completion percentage that tells you how much of a document each viewer read.

A cheaper Digify alternative: Plox

Plox is a secure document sharing and virtual data room platform for founders, investors and dealmakers. It covers the same core jobs, secure links, access control, watermarking and data rooms, on flat, published, self-serve pricing with a genuine free plan and no per-user, per-room or per-guest fees.

Annual discounts apply; see Plox pricing for current numbers. The gap with Digify is large. Plox Pro at $24/month includes watermarking and custom branding that Digify only unlocks at $480/month. And unlike Digify, you can start on the free plan today and only pay when you need data rooms or advanced security.

Watermarking, access control, link expiry and revoke work the way you would expect from Digify. On top of that Plox adds page-by-page analytics with completion tracking, dynamic per-viewer watermarking on every page, one-click NDA, and AI data rooms where Ploxie answers viewer questions directly from your documents.

Frequently asked questions

Does Digify have a free plan?

No. Digify has no free tier. The cheapest way to use it is the Pro plan at $130/month on annual billing ($180/month month-to-month). To test it on a real document you need a paid subscription. Plox offers a genuine free plan with secure links, page-by-page analytics and real-time notifications, no credit card and no time limit.

How much does Digify cost per month?

Digify Pro is $180/month month-to-month, or $130/month if you pay annually. Digify Team is $480/month month-to-month, or $330/month annually [VERIFY PRICE]. Both add per-user, per-room and per-guest fees on top. Enterprise is a custom quote.

When do I have to pay for Digify's watermarking?

Dynamic watermarking is a Team-plan feature, so it starts at $480/month month-to-month or $330/month annually. It is not included on Pro. Screen-shield (anti-screenshot) and file-level granular permissions are also Team-only. Plox includes dynamic per-viewer watermarking from its $24/month Pro plan.

Why does Digify get expensive as you grow?

Because the base plans include only a few users, rooms and guests, and everything beyond that is an add-on. Extra users, extra rooms and extra guests are all billed separately [VERIFY PRICE]. A small team running several deals at once stacks these fees on top of a high base price, so a real-world bill usually lands well above the headline number.

Is Digify cheaper than Plox?

No. Digify starts at $130/month (annual) with no free plan, while Plox has a free plan at $0 and paid tiers from $24/month. Plox includes watermarking from its $24/month Pro plan versus Digify's $330 to $480/month Team tier, and Plox does not charge per user, per room or per guest. See the full best Digify alternatives breakdown for how the wider market compares.

What is the best alternative to Digify pricing?

For founders, investors and small deal teams who want predictable cost, Plox is the strongest alternative: a free plan, flat self-serve pricing and no add-on fees, with watermarking, analytics and AI data rooms built in. For large, regulated M&A, quote-based enterprise VDRs like iDeals or Firmex may fit better despite the higher cost.
