Alive App, an AI-powered experience-tech platform, has raised $1 million in a seed funding round led by Powerhouse Ventures, with participation from Flipkart Ventures. The Bengaluru-based startup had previously raised Rs 6 crore in a pre-seed round led by Powerhouse Ventures last year. The company plans to use the new capital to expand its product and experience supply.
Founded in 2023 by Vivek Kumar, Alive App helps users discover curated experiences across adventure, food, wellness, art, culture and learning. The startup is building technology and supply infrastructure for India’s experience economy. Its stated focus is to increase the frequency of leisure and experience-based activities among urban consumers.
Alive App currently operates in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi and Goa. It offers more than 500 experiences through a network of over 400 creators and partners. The company said it adds around 100 new experiences every month and has recorded its first profitable quarter in Bengaluru, its first and largest market.
Experience-tech platforms are using technology to aggregate and create curated activities as urban consumers show growing demand for discovery and experiential consumption. Alive App is targeting 3X revenue growth over the next few months and plans to focus on increasing user frequency on its platform. Other companies mentioned in the segment include Bucketlistt, Urbanaut and WanderOn, each operating around curated experiences, events, travel or immersive activities.
