Dimension Capital has announced an $800 million third fund, a 60% jump from its $500 million second vehicle, as investor interest grows around startups combining biotech, software, and AI.

Dimension Capital announced an $800 million third fund, according to TechCrunch. The fund is 60% larger than its $500 million second vehicle, which was announced 18 months earlier. That growth stands out because TechCrunch notes many newer venture firms are still struggling to raise fresh capital.
The New York firm invests at the intersection of science and compute. Founded in late 2022, Dimension was launched by Zavian Dar and Adam Goulburn, formerly partners at Lux Capital, along with Obvious Ventures alum Nan Li. Their bet was that founders would increasingly build deep-tech companies crossing the boundaries of biotech and software.
Dimension co-led a $30 million seed investment in Chai Discovery in 2024. Chai Discovery is developing open-source AI foundation models for drug development and recently announced a $400 million raise at a $3.8 billion valuation. Dimension also backed anti-aging startup New Limit at its Series A round in January 2025; New Limit later completed a Series C at a $3.1 billion valuation.
Dimension’s other notable investments include Modal Labs and Anthropic. The firm received shares in Anthropic after Anthropic acquired its portfolio company Coefficient Bio this spring for a reported $400 million. The takeaway: capital is concentrating around companies that connect compute, life sciences, and AI-driven discovery.
