AI-powered travel agency Fora raised a $60 million Series D led by Forerunner and Tactile Ventures, reaching a $1 billion valuation and unicorn status.

Fora announced a $60 million Series D round led by Forerunner and Tactile Ventures, valuing the travel agency platform at $1 billion. The round puts Fora in unicorn territory and adds to its total funding, which the company said has reached $138.5 million.
Other investors in the latest round include Insight Partners and Thrive Capital.
Founded in 2021, Fora operates as a two-part travel platform. It helps people become travel agents by providing infrastructure for client communication and travel planning, while also letting travelers find and communicate with advisors for trips such as honeymoons or family travel.
The platform highlights planning for destinations including Costa Rica and Thailand.
Part of the new funding will support expansion of Fora’s AI assistant, Via. The assistant helps travel agents with administrative tasks including research and itinerary building.
The stated goal is to give human agents more time for client relationships and use AI to support productivity rather than replace advisors.
Fora said agents on its platform have booked more than $3 billion worth of travel since launch, with most agent users new to travel advising. The company also plans to use the funding to hire and expand into additional travel categories, including cruises and flights.
The key takeaway: Fora is pairing a human-advisor marketplace with AI-assisted workflow tools as it scales after reaching a $1 billion valuation.
